Simple transactions with one another are able to fill our hearts and souls, yet in the fast paced world that we live in we so often forget the beauty of the human connection. This is what the children of Addis Abada reignited in me. Every child I met in Ethiopia during my first visit remains etched in my memory and my heart. Their eyes were talking, they were pleading for survival. I immediately decided to do anything it would take in order to help the children. Right away, I recalled Mother Theresa's quote: "We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."
I doubt that anyone would admit to being indifferent to the problems that the world faces today. Yet with so much conversing about the problems our world faces, little is actually ever done. A drastic transformation is required in order to move people to take actual steps towards a concrete goal, instead of merely debating and philosophizing without execution. I believe that the time has come when humans will consciously make specific progressive changes! The best part of fundraising for children’s causes is that every child has unlimited potential to become whatever they choose to be and you are just helping them to achieve that potential.
